Adobe Alternatives | I already changed my creative tools

It’s been a while since the Adobe controversy over their terms and conditions. Although they updated them, there was no real change. They still have full access, automatic and manual access to everything we create in their Suite. For that reason, we recommend to look for Adobe Alternatives.

So, a while ago I decided to cancel my Adobe subscription. Also, here at RPB Marketing, we are already working with alternatives. I couldn’t be happier with that decision. So, here are some of the most popular options that I recommend.

Adobe Alternatives for Graphic Design

For graphic design, especially when it comes to photography, illustrations, and layouts, there are several alternatives. Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign are the most popular tools. But there are other equally good options. These are some of the most recommended ones:

  • Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, and Affinity Publisher. These Adobe Alternatives have no comparison. They are the equivalent of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign respectively. All 3 Affinity tools are available for both mobile and desktop formats. You pay a single lifetime subscription. And, best of all, they have virtually everything that Adobe includes for these three programs.
  • Corel Draw. This is the old graphic design program that was the powerhouse of the industry for years. It’s still a great alternative for design and illustration lovers.
  • Canva. For simpler designs and layouts, this tool is highly recommended. It is working in partnership with Affinity and includes many simple and intuitive tools to create designs from its application. It can be used for free, but it has a subscription if needed.

Alternatives for Video Editing

Premiere Pro has been one of the market leaders in video editing. It has been great in terms of compatibility with various operating systems. But, it is also notorious for continuous crashes. Also, after the change in Adobe’s terms and conditions, it is better to migrate to other options.

  • DaVinci Resolve. For me, the best video editing tool out there (by far) and among the best Adobe Alternatives. It has an extremely complete free version. It has a video editor, color editor, sound editor, and many other tools. Its paid version also offers a lifetime license.
  • Final Cut Pro. It is a paid software for video editing native to Apple. It is excellent for creating videos if you have a Macbook or an iMac. And the results are truly amazing.
  • iMovie and Clipchamp. Both are simple video editors available for free. iMovie is the native MacOS editor and Clipchamp is the native Windows editor. They are ideal for making simple video editing.
  • CapCut and Canva. They are great alternatives for editing videos from the web. They have very good free versions, but you can also pay a subscription to get more benefits.
